Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her guidance and commitment to strengthening South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) services during an engagement together with the company's senior supervisors at a strategic scheduling session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the various social grant beneficiaries, who excelled within the 2024 matric exams.
On the 724 156 full-time learners who registered for that National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing 81% of your registered pupils from the schooling sector.
These learners obtained a commendable pass rate of 86%.
